The vineyard
Our wine domaine is situated just north of the Corbières hillsides in the rolling plain between the rivers Aude and Orbieu.
Our vines, facing south or north, extend between the clay-limestone hills covered with round pebbles, and the plain, between two folds, made up of alluvial and a draining soil.
We are very lucky to have all of our vineyards within a five-minute drive from the winery, while also having as many as five distinctive soil types.
Les Clots
2.2 hectares planted on a gradual north facing slope consisting of two parcels with three different soil types. At the top of the Syrah, planted in 2008, we have thick clay and then as it rolls down the hill you can find patches of clay interlaced with chalk. The Mourvèdre, planted in 1984, going up the other slope is round, river rocks with chalk.
La Plaine
Down by the railroad tracks we have 3.5 hectares consisting of four different parcels. A hectare of Marsanne and of Grenache Blanc were planted in 2012. The same year we planted some more Carignan to compensate for our old vine (100 year old) Carignan.
Resplandy
This pretty, little Grenache Noir vineyard planted in 1999 has 0.26 Hectares with a soil of large, round stones and clay. It is pruned in a very low goblet style with rose bushes planted at the end of a few rows.
The Resplandy of Mary, named after Paul’s eldest sister, has one hectare of Syrah planted in 2000 and just over a hectare of Carignan planted in 2016 on rocky soils (argilo-calcare) .
Les Arjellats
On top of the hill we have half a hectare of Mourvèdre planted in 2019 with red clay and fossilized stones. Below we have half a hectare of Mourvèdre planted in 2007 on pure clay surrounded by a grove of 100 young olive trees.
Plo-de-Beyret
This 2007 plantation of Grenache Noir is on the border of Cruscades and Lezignan Corbières and is 2.4 Hectares of red clay and round stones.
La Serre
This century-old plot is Isabelle’s favorite because she remembers the harvests she used share with her family as a child. This Carignan sits on 0.25 hectares of sloping sandy soil facing north.
Vieille vigne
Our newest vineyard, planted with gifts from our wedding guests. On one side we have one hectare of Vermentino, planted in 2020. On the other, we have half a hectare of white Piquepoul, planted in 2022. We are excited to expand our white wine program.
